Obagi Blue Skin Peel

The Obagi Blue Skin Peel is perfect for those who want to reduce their fine lines, acne scars, sun damage, blemishes and uneven pigmentation. This peel makes your skin look younger and healthier and will improve your complexion.

Blue Peel Radiance removes the uppermost damaged skin layers, leaving your skin fresh, radiant and renewed. We do forewarn that you may feel an intense heat and itchiness after the solution was applied, but don’t be nervous. This is very short-lived, at around 30 seconds. It passes quickly and our staff will do anything we can to help ease your worries.

Here at advanced aesthetics, we like to offer a very honest and open opinion of any products used at our clinics, so we gave one of our clients the opportunity to review the Obagi Blue Skin Peel… here are her findings!

I was always put off the thought of a skin peel, after seeing some programmes which showed a week downtime etc, but the blue skin peel really surprised me! Instead of one deep treatment, I was offered several ‘low burn’ skin peels in which the Obagi Blue Radiance peel would be used, with it’s very low level of salicylic (20%) glycolic and lactic acid blend, combined with calming agent, liquorice root and willow bark. (This is information I requested from my aesthetician so that I could write an informed review).

To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Yes, there was some burning (but very slight) but you’re taking off the top layer of skin so some discomfort is to be expected. Trust me, it really isn’t too bad! I think worrying about the impending burning was worse than the burning sensation itself! What was a real shock was how quickly my skin. improved. After just the first treatment, I was confident enough to go outside with no foundation or concealer on, which is something I haven’t been able to do for 12 years!

I had a small amount of peeling, which I was told could happen so that wasn’t too much of a shock. I am very much looking forward to more blue skin peels from the staff at advanced aesthetics. If you’re interested in the blue peel treatment, I would highly recommend advanced aesthetics! I am in love with my skin for the first time in a very long time.”
